  • A3 and A4 Abutment Details - Details are labeled wrong, A3 is labeled as A4 and A4 is labeled as A3.  Switch titles.


15.2 - Slope Paving - Structures (Crushed Aggregate) (insert sheets - SlpPavCrAg.dgn)

  • This standard was formerly included in the FDM as S.D.D. 12 A 2-3.  Standard will now be maintained by the Bureau of Structures and included in the Bridge Manual as standard 15.2.


15.3 - Slope Paving - Structures (Concrete Cast-In-Place) (insert sheets - SlpPavCIP)

  • This standard was formerly included in the FDM as S.D.D. 12 A 1-2.  Standard will now be maintained by the Bureau of Structures and included in the Bridge Manual as standard 15.3.


19.18 - 54W" Pretensioned Girder Details (insert sheets - g54w.dgn)

  • General Notes - Add paragraph - "This note applies to long spans as defined in the notes for the 54W" girder, table 19.1 of the Bridge Manual:  For storage, handling, and transporting, this girder is reinforced to allow a maximum overhang from the lifting location or point of support of up to 1/10 the girder length.  The contractor is responsible for lateral stability of the girder until the deck is cured."

  • Bar steel changes at ends of girder to reduce cracking.


19.20 - Pretensioned 54W" & 72W" Girder Slab & Superstructure Details (insert sheets - g54wdet.dgn)

  • Angle - Change hole locations and length dimension of angle to avoid steel in girder web.

19.21 - 72W" Pretensioned Girder Details (insert sheets - g72w.dgn)

24.11 - Slab Pouring Sequence (insert sheets - none)

  • Design Notes - Add note regarding alternate pouring sequence.

27.1 - Expansion Bearing Details Type 'A'-Steel Girders (insert sheets - none)

  • Move standard to chapter 40 and rename to 40.16.  Bearing is no longer used for new construction.


27.2 - Fixed Bearing Details Type 'A'-Steel Girders (insert sheets - brtflon.dgn)

  • Clarify painting and galvanizing notes.


27.6 - Hold Down Devices (insert sheets - brholdwn) 

  • Notes (Permanent Hold Down Device) - Add note:  "For replacement bearings, anchor  bolts shall be 1 ½" diameter x 3'-0" long and fully threaded.  These anchor bolts shall be paid for as "Masonry Anchors Type S 1 1/2-Inch" and be epoxy anchored."
  • Masonry Plate - Change diameter of holes from 1 5/8" to "Bolt diameter + 3/8" ".  Change edge distance of hole from 2" to 2 ¼".

27.8 - Stainless Steel - TFE Expansion Bearing Details Type "A-T" (insert sheets - brtflon.dgn)

  • Clarify painting and galvanizing notes.


30.7 - Vertical Face Parapet 'A' (insert sheets - ppta.dgn)

  • Bar Details, S501 - Right leg, show dimensions for both 1'-8" parapet and 2'-8".

  • Notes - Change "Bituminous Paint" to "An approved liquid bond breaker".


30.10 - Parapet Footing (insert sheets - footing.dgn)

  • Add details for fence on parapet.


30.11 - Chain Link Fence Details (insert sheets - railchan.dgn)

  • Add detail for Section Thru Fence On 'LF' Parapet.

30.16 - Tubular Steel Railing Type "M" (insert sheets - railm.dgn)

  • Item 13, Anchor Plate - Change the four 1" x 1" square holes to 1" diameter holes.
  • Item 15, Carriage Bolt - Change to A325 round head bolt with nut, washer and lock washer.

30.19 - Vertical Face Parapet "TX" (insert sheets - railtex)

  • Add details for conduit and junction box.

30.21 - Light Std., Junction Box, & Exp. Fitting For 'LF'/'HF' Para. (insert sheets - lfelec.dgn - not affected)

  • Section Thru Parapet - Dimension from back of junction box to center of conduit was incorrectly shown on standard hard copies that were sent out with the last transmittal.  Internet version was shown correctly.


30.24 - Timber Railing Attached to Concrete Slab (insert sheets - railtimber)

  • Plan View - Add note pointing to "Edge of Slab".

  • Elevation View - Add notes to width of abutment defining orientation of dimension.

36.2 - Box Culvert Apron Details (insert sheets - none)

  • Notes - Change note regarding to contractor furnishing precast box to read - "The contractor may furnish a precast concrete box culvert in lieu of the cast-in-place box culvert with acceptance of the shop drawings by the Structures Design Section.  The precast culvert shall conform to precast culvert standards of the current WisDOT  Bridge manual.  Payment for the Precast Culvert shall be based on the quantities and prices bid for the items listed in the "Total Estimated Quantities"."


40.1 - Concrete Overlay (insert sheets - none)

  • The bid item shown "Removing Concrete Masonry Deck Overlay", should read "Removing Concrete Overlay".
  • The bid item shown "Masonry Anchors Type S No. __ Bars", should read "Masonry Anchors Type S ___ -Inch".

40.2 - Asphaltic Overlay (insert sheets - none)

  • The bid item shown "Removing Concrete Masonry Deck Overlay", should read "Removing Concrete Overlay".

  • The bid item shown "Masonry Anchors Type S No. __ Bars", should read "Masonry Anchors Type S ___ -Inch".
