11.1 - Pile Details (insert sheets - none)

  • Notes - Remove Pile Point information from notes. This information is now included in the Special Provisions.

12.1 - Abutment Type A1 (Integral Abutment) (insert sheets - none)

  • Type A1 With Fixed Seat/Type A1 With Semi-Expansion Seat - Add 2 ½" dimension for slope of berm. To ensure consistency between all abutment types and berm types.

12.2 - Abutment Type A1 (insert sheets - none)

  • Top of Wing Details - Add detail for Type "F" Rail with sidewalk notch. To ensure consistency when using this detail.
  • Add text where applicable for new Type "51F" Parapet.

12.3 - Abutment Type A3 (insert sheets - none)

  • Section Thru Body - Remove "Concrete only" from 2 ½" dimension for slope of berm. To ensure consistency between all abutment types and berm types.

12.4 - Abutment Type A3 (insert sheets - none)

  • Section W1 - Add construction joint note.
  • Add text where applicable for new Type "51F" Parapet.

12.6 - Abutment A4 Pile Footing (insert sheets - none)

  • Add text where applicable for new Type "51F" Parapet.

13.2 - Hammer Head Pier (insert sheets - none)

  • Section P1 and Alternate Section P1 - Change shape of horizontal tie bars. Remove leg length for #5 bars. Change maximum spacing of vertical bars from 6" to 12"

13.5 - Hammer Head Pier - Type 2 (insert sheets - none)

  • Section P2 - Change shape of horizontal tie bars. Add leg length for #4 bars. Change maximum spacing of vertical bars from 6" to 12"

19.18 - 54W" Prestressed Girder Details (insert sheets - g54w, mg54w)

  • Remove #6 U-Shaped Bar from ends of girder.

19.19 - 54W" Pretensioned Girder Design Data (insert sheets - g54w, mg54w)

  • Standard Arrangements To Raise Center Of Gravity To Avoid Draping Of Strands - Move bottom, inner 2 strands out. Provide more clearance for concrete to flow into that area.

19.20 - Pretensioned 54W" Girder Slab & Superstructure Details (insert sheets - g54wdet, mg54wdet - not affected)

  • Expansion End - Add 6" min dimension from F.F. of backwall to end of girder to provide enough clearance for the stirrups @ the end of the girder.
  • Expansion End - Add note to see standard 28.3 for details used with modular joint.

24.2 - Plate Girder Details (insert sheets - none)

  • Change all welded connection bar and intermediate stiffener thicknesses from 3/8" minimum to ½" minimum.

24.3 - Plate Girder Diaphragms And Cross Frames (insert sheets -none)

  • Change all welded connection bar and intermediate stiffener thicknesses from 3/8" minimum to ½" minimum.

24.6 - Rolled Girder Diaphragms (insert sheets -none)

  • Change all welded connection bar and intermediate stiffener thicknesses from 3/8" minimum to ½" minimum.

27.7 - Elastomeric Bearing For prestressed Concrete Girders (insert sheets -brelaspg, mbrelaspg)

  • End View: Show ½" stainless steel beveled anchor plate thickness and ¾" chamfer at bottom of prestressed girder correctly.

27.9 - Steel Bearings For Prestressed Concrete Girders (insert sheets - none)

  • Section B1 and Section B2: Show ½" stainless steel/teflon plate thickness and ¾" chamfer at bottom of prestressed girder correctly. Change plate dimensions accordingly. Section B1 - Change 1/8" cl. Dimension to ½" cl.

28.3 - Modular Expansion Joint Details (insert sheets -  jtmoddetails)

  • Show details and notes for modular expansion joints used with 54W" prestressed girders.

30.4 - Tubular Railing type "H" (Alum.) (insert sheets - railhalm, mrailhalm)

  • General Notes: Add Note - Rails shall be built straight and sprung into place for structures curved up to 3˚, for structures curved greater than 3˚, rails shall be curved to fit.
  • Rail closure cap detail: Add 4" diameter dimension.

30.7 - Vertical Face Parapet "A" (insert sheets - ppta)

  • At Sidewalk Section C - Add 1'-2" dimension from edge of slab to end of bar for development length of #4 horizontal bar in bottom of sidewalk.

30.10 - Parapet Footing (insert sheets - lfdec - not affected)

  • Designer Notes: Add Note - "All parapet footing bars shall be epoxy coated".

30.15 - Ornamental Protective Screening (insert sheets - none)

  • Notes - Change 35 m.p.h. to 45 m.p.h.

30.16 - Tubular Steel Railing Type "M" (insert sheets - railm)

  • Legend -  Item #1, change 1" x 1 ¼" vertical slots to 1 1/8" x 1 ½" horizontal slots.
    Item #2, change 1 3/8" diameter holes to 1 5/16" x 1 5/8" slotted holes.30.20 - Sloped Face parapet "51F" (insert sheets - not yet created)
    New Standard

36.2 - Box Culvert Apron Details (insert sheets - none)

  • Section Thru Wingwalls - Show horizontal and vertical temperature steel ( #4's @ 1'-6") in front face of apron wingwalls. Show 2" clr. for vertical reinforcement in both front & back faces.
  • Show max wall height = 13'-0".
  • Expand table showing "H" vs "L" to cover "H values" of: 12' < "H" < 14'.

36.5 - Precast Concrete Box Culvert Barrel Details (insert sheets - none)

  • Notes - Add note: The design of precast box culverts with less than 2 feet of fill shall be as stated in ASTM C1433.
