19.18 - 54W" Pretensioned Girder
Details (insert sheets - g54w, mg54w - not affected)
- Section Thru Girder - Top flange, change
spacing of longitudinal bars from 6", 9", & 6" to
3", 12", & 7". County Concrete requested that we move
the two bars near the center of the girder to facilitate the placement of
the stirrups. The other bars were also moved to keep the same moment of
inertia.
- Designer Notes, second paragraph - remove
reference to 0.5" dia. strands. Change to match Chapter 19 of the
Bridge Manual.
- Detail A - Change #7 stirrups and note to
read " 3 Pairs #7 Stirrups At Ends". Clarification.
19.19 - 54W" Pretensioned Girder
Design Data (insert sheets - g54w, mg54w - not affected)
- Remove all references to 0.5" dia.

24.9 - Blocking & Slab Haunch Details

- Notes - First paragraph, second sentence,
change to read "Haunch heights will normally be made 2" at edge
of girder, at abutments, hinges, and field splices."Third paragraph,
second sentence, change "at quarter points" to "at 0.1
points" and remove remainder of sentence.
- Elevations At Top Of Deck & Top Of
Steel - change ¼, ½, and ¾ points to 0.1, 0.2, 0.3. Remove elevations
for centerline of splice at top of deck.
- Haunch Detail - Add to "1 ¼"
minimum haunch" dimension "(For Construction)".
24.10 - Girder Layout On Curve (insert
sheets - none)
- General Notes - Fourth paragraph, add
"On curves < 7 degrees it may also be beneficial to curve rather
than kink."
27.7 – Elastomeric Bearings For
Prestressed Concrete Girders (insert sheets brelaspg.dgn - not affected)
- Update article numbers referenced by
AASHTO.
- Expansion Bearings Table - Minor changes in
the values shown in the table under "Exp. Length". The old
version of this standard was based on a temperature range that was
attempting to include not only effects of temperature change but
creep/shrinkage effects as well. The Bridge Manual reduced the temperature
range a few years ago and created a separate creep/shrinkage factor to be
used. This new temperature range and creep/shrinkage factor is now being
applied to the design of elastomeric bearings.
30.12 - Sloped Face Parapet 'LF'
