Lean government program

Governor Walker’s Executive Order #66 requires all cabinet agencies to participate in a statewide "Lean Government Program." Starting in July 2012, the department kicked off a set of demonstration projects aimed at improving customer service, maximizing efficient operations, saving costs, streamlining processes and making informed data-driven decisions. The department is also required to report annually to the Governor’s Office on progress toward meeting the mandate.

This site provides WisDOT staff with information related to the program as well as resources to aid in Lean Six Sigma training and project planning.
